Here are some simple tips to really maximize the benefits to your business.
-
Encourage all your staff to download the app direct from their App store. Is all your workforce desk or office based? If not, offering traditional benefits accessed via a work PC or laptop alone wont work. Sage Employee Benefits offers a true app – delivering all the great benefits into the palm of their hand. Supporting all your workforce equally is key and drives better employee engagement with the benefits on offer. Make sure the poster showing the QR codes is readily available making accessing the app fast and simple.
-
Make the benefits part of your policies. Some of our most successful clients have integrated the benefits into their company policies. Access to the OnDemand GP service 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year is a great way to drive down absenteeism and presenteeism (where employees come into work even though they are unwell). Integrating this into your Sickness Policy is a great way to support your staff, get them the help they need quickly, allowing them to return to work healthier and faster.
-
Create company-wide events. Discounted gym membership is a great feature of Sage Employee Benefits and encourages your staff to become more active. Physical exercise is also a great way to help Mental Health. Happy and healthy staff are more productive. Creating company-wide events such as a step challenge are a great way to increase motivation and drive employee engagement both with the company and each other. And don’t forget the weekly Health Advice articles, imagine if all your workforce decided to support each other to stop smoking or lose some weight – the benefits would be massive.

Encourage all your managers to use the Recognition tool regularly. Lack of recognition is the Number One reason why employees leave their jobs! (Gallup). Similarly, recognition for work is one of the top drivers to attract new talent (Willis Towers Watson). Sending a simple Well Done or Thank You is great way to let your staff know that they’ve been recognised. Increasing motivation, productivity, and engagement. Once your managers start using this regularly so will your staff. Peer-to-peer recognition makes for great teamwork.
